About Bob
Meet Bob Schlehuber
Bob Schlehuber is a peacebuilder, artist, organizer, and producer who works across diverse cultural settings—connecting communities, schools, and organizations. As the founder of Peacebuilding Connections, Bob has led transformative projects in over 90 cities and 14 countries, combining the arts with community organizing to creatively address complex social, political, and economic challenges.
With experience in art-making, peacebuilding workshops, and coalition-building, Bob’s approach identifies power imbalances, bridges divides, and fosters collaboration. His unique background, which includes Peace Corps service in Ukraine and leadership on mutual aid coalitions and artistic events, has garnered national and international recognition for its impact.
Bob holds a B.A. in Communication and Political Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an M.A. in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from American University. His work has been featured in outlets like the Jerusalem Post, Rock River Current, and Southern Poverty Law Center.
